Have you been holding off on purchasing that new Apple laptop to wait and see what Steve pulled out of his hat at Macworld? You won’t be disappointed. Apple today introduced an ultra-light version of their popular MacBook laptop. Dubbed the MacBook Air, the new computer is being billed as “the world’s thinnest laptop.” Based on the images coming out of the Keynote, we’d have to agree with that claim. The little bugger is 0.16-0.76 inches thick, depending on where you take the measurement. It sports a full size 13.3″ display, multi-touch gesture track pad, full-size back lit keyboard, integrated iSight, 1.6GHz / 1.8GHz Core 2 Duo chip, 2GB of RAM, 80GB 1.8″ hard drive (64 GB SSD optional), and built-in 802.11n and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. All told, this is one crazy little machine. It even fits inside a manila envelope! Expect to find this on Apple store shelves in about two weeks for $1,799…the question now is can we wait that long? Hit the jump for some more shots
