We love connectivity. Just the thought of having high-speed broadband where nature didn’t intend it has a calming effect on us from time to time. And what we really like about Christmas is the sharing and being kind to each other. Now Cradlepoint has made it possible for us to combine those two with the PHS300, and gosh darn it leaves us feeling all warm and fuzzy inside Earlier this year Cradlepoint brought us the CTR-350 which was a travel router that allowed you to turn your EV-DO phone or USB-modem into Wi-Fi and share it with your friends. Now they are bringing us the PHS300, which takes it a little further. Unlike the travel router, the PHS300 personal hot spot sports a Li-On battery, and therefore lets you set up an IEEE 802.11 b/g network out in the real life, for up to 3 hours with a handset and 1½ with a USB-modem. There is a difference between those being naughty and those being nice. For that reason only PHS300 has a healthy variety of 64/128bit encryption types, insuring it’s only the nice ones who can share your online wonder. The only real downside is that it only supports a handful of Verizon and Sprint products. And that does limit it nationwide, even more so globally. So what do you say Cradlepoint, what about spreading the splendor even more and hooking all of us up?
