HP is set to begin offering Ev-DO Rev. A radios embedded in their upcoming lines of notebook and tablet PCs. This will most likely serve as a welcome addition to any HP customers in search of a mobile broadband solution, and should free up that Express Card slot for more useful functions. Bear in mind that you’ll still be subject to a 2 year Sprint contract, $60 monthly fee, and miserable Sprint coverage, but if HP is your poison of choice, then we have no choice but to recommend this option. The service will be available on HP’s 6510b, 6910p and 8510 series laptops. Surf away.
