Juergen Perthold, the creator of the CatCam, says his cat would often leave for long periods of time and return looking disheveled, inspiring the curious cat-lover to create his invention. With a 1.3 megapixel camera connected to a timer and an SD card, the CatCam is capable of taking a picture every minute for 48 hours.
