Apple iPhone 8GB now only $399!

You will not have to take a 10% restocking fee if you bought it at an AT&T store. A generic sku was released that will enable a refund of cash/credit card if you don’t have an AT&T account, or a credit on your wireless bill.

Naw I’m just fuckin’ with ya, I just used one and it’s a consideration but I’m still not fully sold. It is pretty and pretty sweet, though.

NOW Apple has made the best move

at $399 the iPhone (dumb/smart phone) will be the most popular.. as if it already wasn’t

the new price sounds way more resonable, and also leaves the door open for the iPhone2? or maybe 16GB..

But since i’m “stuck” with Verizon, i might just go get the iPod Wannabe Phone(touch) :]

Early adopters have always paid more. Thanks to them Apple decided that the money was in the 8GB and as we all know a bigger iphone is around the corner. The winners are the ones that wanted an iphone and a price they could now swallow. Apple still wins.

My 30th birthday in September….. iphone, ipod touch, or the Curve for t-mobile (what I was planning on getting… What do I do!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

So they couldn’t sell iPhones fast enough. They had to drop the price. Apple is not known for giving up their margins that easily. Mobile phone market is a low margins business.

Still a pretty bad phone (as a phone) even at the lower price.

I’m in exactly the same situation. I’m currently with T-Mo and would consider switching to AT&T if, and only IF, the iPhone had everything I wanted. But, alas, that’s not the case. One of my biggest gripes is no Exchange support, so I decided to just get the Crackberry and the iPod Touch. Then, hopefully, that will tide me over until Apple (or someone else) develops Exchange support for the iPhone.

But that’s just me.

Any thoughts as to whether or not the WiFI Music Store will work over EDGE when it drops on the iPhone?

And I wanted to add that, technically, I will end up with all 3 devices. Because of the price decrease, I immediately went to my local Apple store and bought the 4GB iPhone for my mom (since she is willing to switch to AT&T).

By the way, my location (in the Los Angeles area still had a lot of the 4GB in stock and I was surprised).

Congratulations Sony..er Apple! You have completed your Quest to gain the Whip of INstant-obsolescence of Consumer Electronics to flay your customers with (WINCE).

This whip also has the side-effect of casting forget so your customers will continue to come back to worship at your altar of glory!

Maybe HTC’s stuff will last at least a year and still worth it.

Although i feel bad, i understand that apple had really no choice but to drop thw prices i mean its most likely that they have the 3G model alredy and did not introduce yesterday because it has plenty of stock on thw 4G and 8G i would not be suprice if they release the new model on the 25th of this month

was so ready to convert to apple but forget about it now, I wouldn’t want to get stabbed in the back again. Jobs said that the iPhone has been extremely well accepted and customers love the phone and wants to put the pedal to the metal. But did this arrogant baster just forget that the reason it’s been well accepted is b/c of the early adaptors who were willing to pay the premium $$’s and help bust the iPhone demand. If it wasn’t for us early adaptors the phone wouldn’t be as popular as it is. So in return we get screwed with a 33% price drop ($3 per day average depreciation).

Sounds like there WILL be a a new 3g version coming out. Overheard a regional sales rep in a local AT&T store asking about current sales and talking about the new iPhone coming out. He was also asking the sales staff if they were a 3G site. Sounds promising!

I just saw the 4gb model in the clearance section of the apple store.
