It sports a brand new interface running atop a OS X-like experience. They will come 80GB and 160GB flavors, with over 30 hours of battery life for audio playback, 6 hours of video playback on the 80GB, and 40 hours / 7 hours on the 160GB one. I am going to hold off on the “touch” for a 160 gig….OH YEAH!

  • Mike on the tower

Apple seems to be able to keep secrets better than some governments! Available this weekend and hardly any leaked info until now. Amazing.

I agree with both Tee Jay and Mike! I want a 160gb touch!

Damn straight!! But this looks like my next iPod.
    iPod “Classic” come to papa!!

Let down by Apple again. The only inclusion I wanted to see was A2DP Bluetooth instead of having to attach an adapter. I will stick with my Gen 4 until this happens. One day Apple, one day……

Is it me or is everyone talking about the hugh storage on the ipod that they will never use. Im really upset with Apple they put out new ipods and they still havent put no features in it. To say there a revolutionary company where is the next generation technology, something new. Have they even put F.M radio and voice recorder on this thing I hope so. Some bluetooth anything that will make it stick out. I see the new Samsung and Creative outdoing the nano this year. When will people learn that apple is ripping them off. I work at best buy and i see about 25% of ipods come back because something wrong with them and its not the customer fault. You would think for that type of money and lack of features these things would last forever, since they have nothing inside them to go wrong. But thats a lie. When will we learn

ok, I have an ipod, but I can only listen to music for the longest at 2 hours. Even if I have a huge storage of music, what will I do with that. Besides, I found out that there are better sounding ipod wannabe here in the philippines. Yesterday I went to check at cdr-king, where they sell their mp3/mp4 players at only US$40

    @downsouth

I don’t know about you but I have over 80 gigs of music….and thats not even including movies that I have yet to put on my current 80 gig iPod. So yes I am very excited for the 160 gig. No more manually putting music on….now it can all go on there…HAHAHAHAHAHA!

    @ Tee Jay

You have over 80gb of music. How many of those songs do you actually listen. Now if your a D.J I understand where this might help you. But if your using this for personal music and movies. My Archos Wifi will walk over all the the ipods that Apple just released. And they make a 160gb. Here’s a link

WOW that thing is huge! All I want to do is listen to music and have a device I can stick in my pocket. I play most of my genres on random (yeah I got a holiday genre that I probably wont play till that time) but I pretty much listen to all of it, and it is also nice when some in my car and they go “Do you have or I haven’t heard” and BAM its playing thru my car in a matter of clicks. So yes I see what you are saying (I don’t need wifi got a phone for that)but I like devices that are small and fit in my pocket and look stylish in my car.

Your right Tee Jay it is a lil big. But look at the price compared to the ipod. Same amount of space and a lot more feature. Im not saying that the ipod is bad. Im just saying, for that type of money it should bring more to the table. Its nothing new the ipod doing. Some one has to set the bar. And the new archos did that. Samsung next, have you seen there new mp3 player with all the bluetooth profiles in it. Creative have a 16gb to, with lot more features and expandable SDHC card slot.

  • hahaha

YOU ARE LAME!!!!!!!! QUIT CRYING!!!!!! THAT IS IN RESPONSE TO downsouth821 BY THE WAY. APPLE IS THE SH*T!!! WHEN YOU GOING TO REALIZE THAT!!!!

  • test5477

nah to each his own. Everyone is entitled to their opinion
I’ll stick with the iPods as the supporting systems are already so well done

  • What about the new Nano?

I saw it in the paper today…

  • downsouth821

    @ HAHA

If apple is the sh** then he’s using all you dumb fan boys as toilet paper LOL. Like I said they products is not all that bad just over priced, for what you get. May be if you was to get all that Sh** that apple feeding you out your eyes you would beable to see that. I see and sell more ipods than you can think of, but i also see more return also.
