MobileChat brings better IM to the iPhone!

Software

What a glorious day in iPhone land. ApolloIM, we still love you! While they were the first to bring a native IM application to the iPhone, they are by no means alone in the quest. Fresh on the scene is this new app from programmers twenty08. Their new native application, cleverly named MobileChat, is a step ahead of the rest in terms of functionality and features. You want a full buddy list with status notifications? Done! How does both sound and pop-up notifications sound to you? Done! Would you like to stay logged in while your iPhone is in standby/suspend mode? Strike it again! This thing is a true beast, and it even features the iChat-like interface too. Very sharp, guys! It is still in beta form, so expect to encounter some resistance, but a little trouble is more than worth it for a fully functional instant messaging app, right? Right.

Geoff – It only supports AIM as far as I can see.

I’m using v.2.3 of Installer, and I still don’t see this package anywhere.

Anyone have a link to the binary?

The only problem with these apps if you get a text it will sign you off.
