Verizon brings live college football to mobile phones

‘Tis the season for football, folks. Verizon has decided to bring over 100 regular season, and 20 bowl games to your mobile handset. Utilizing the streaming video built in to the V-Cast interface, the carrier will be broadcasting a wide cross section of games from a variety of divisions across the country. The games will be shown on CBS Mobile, ESPN TV, FOX Mobile, and NBC 2Go, ensuring that subscribers will have significant choice at any given time. The service, which is being offered in conjunction with MediaFLO USA, will be offered at no additional premium above standard V-Cast rates. We suppose there are some advantages to being a Verizon subscriber, right?
