This seems like strange timing, seeing as the current MLB season is on the downward slope, but maybe this is geared towards playoff fans…Either way, RIM and Major League Baseball have worked together to prepare a BlackBerry specific icon/shortcut that provides one-click access to MLB scores, stats, schedules and more. Keeping in mind that this is not an application, but rather a glorified link hiding inside of a custom icon. We’re not sure it was really worth the trouble. Then again, this could prove useful to ‘Berry toting baseball fans everywhere. Now where’s my flax seed oil?
