Could this be the moment that we’ve been waiting for? Hard to say, as the product trial has just begun, but it’s certainly a step in the right direction. Synchronica provides a complete Exchange solution by opening up a mobile gateway that allows for message, folder, and attachment synchronization. One downfall, is that messages are not pushed immediately to the user’s iPhone. The sign up process is pretty simple, and Synchronica is offering a free 60-day trial for new users. You simply register your handheld with Synchronica, configure your accounts with their server, and you’re ready to go. There’s nothing to download on the iPhone, just sign up, enter in the email account info and go. Due to overwhelming demand, their sign up process has come to a halt, but they hope to be back online soon. Bad launch-day omens aside, we’re excited to see where this project is headed. It should allow most corporate users the ability to get access to their email without making their IT guys open up “insecure” IMAP.
