New iMac keyboard?

News

We’re certainly not the first on the block with this news, but these images are so darn pretty that we just had to share them with you. An anonymous tipster dropped some images of what is assumed to be the new slimline iMac keyboard. It is, in a word, beautiful. About 1mm thick, the keys closely resemble those on the current generation Macbook. It’s an unconventional design, but one that we feel to be an excellent compromise between size and function. The keys are surrounded by brushed metal, lending credence to the rumor that the impending iMac update will include a healthy dose of silver, a la the current Cinema display line. The biggest departure here? The "Apple" key no longer sports the Apple logo, supposedly in the interest of not "confusing" new users. Aren’t Macs supposed to be the easy ones? Oh well. A hot design is a hot design. Bring on the iMac update, Cupertino!

looks great, hope this is official model and not just a mockup that someone grabbed.

Apple makes all the best stuff.

one of the main reasons I would say it’s a fake is this: why wouldn’t apple have a wireless keyboard for their new line of Macs? If they are trying to show everything is “lightyears ahead of its time” then why wouldn’t you know make a wireless keyboard for your new macs standard?

Make this baby bluetooth and I’m sold.

i would imagine they would offer both varieties. Their are still people (me) who for a desktop dont have any need or desire for a wireless keyboard. But the design is very good and they produce both types now so cant imagine they would stop yet.

fyi, im using this keyboard right now and it is very very fast. It takes alittle getting used to because its so flat but the keys are lower and it seems very fast. Also I looks and sits perfectly on my desk. Very good quality too.
