The day when Internet Explorer is eclipsed by a new jack browser like Firefox is bound to come, and if these new numbers are any indication, the revolution will be sooner than you might think. According to a study by the XiTi Monitor, which is a French survey institute, Internet Explorer’s share of the European web browsing market has dropped to 70%. 28% of Europeans use the open source Firefox, up from 21.1% just a year ago.
