Feeling inadequate after Apple’s record setting weekend, Verizon has stepped up their rate plan offerings, unleashing a big dose of “unlimitedness” (their word, not ours) on the unsuspecting consuming public. Verizon’s new plans are called America’s Choice Select Premium, and offer unlimited SMS, MMS, IM, Email, V Cast, VZ Navigator, and In Network Calling. Pretty slick. Prices vary according to the number of minutes you need, ranging from $79.99 for 450 minutes to $239.99 for 6000 minutes. Sounds pretty good to us, but given Verizon’s spotty track record for interpreting the word “unlimitedness” we’d counsel you to be careful before sending 100,000 SMS messages in a single month. Don’t say we didn’t warn ya!
